Greetings!
 

We are soliciting nominations for the 2026 CalCSA Annual Conference Awards. There are several awards open for you to recognize the efforts of your peers across the Child Support Program. 

  • Please complete all requested information regarding the award for which you are submitting a nomination.
  • The “person submitting” is the contact CalCSA should reach out to if there are questions regarding the nomination.
  • For each nomination, please be sure to provide a narrative addressing the distinguishing characteristics, specific to the award, of the individual, group, or program being nominated – each award will have its own criteria.
  • If possible, please include a photograph of the nominee to be used in a press release.
  • Any incomplete forms (i.e. missing a narrative) will not be considered.

Truly B. Knox Award

This award recognizes exceptional achievements or accomplishments of a current member of CalCSA in advancement of the program by extended leadership and service to the program or in recognition of career service to the Child Support Program.

The Truly B. Knox award is the highest award for service to the child support program. Generally, the recipient will have demonstrated leadership in the ield, not only in their own LCSA, but also statewide or nationally. This may be recognized in the form of extended advocacy on behalf of the program, providing leadership and direction to a local program, major statewide initiative, or through other activities that demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to effectively collaborate toward improving California’s Child Support Program.

Outstanding Child Support Program Excellence Award

This award recognizes a local child support agency or partner that demonstrates excellence in service delivery, effective public awareness and outreach, and outstanding collaboration. Honorees consistently provide high-quality child support services, promote IV-D programs through positive community engagement, and go above and beyond in collaborating with agencies and partners to strengthen the Child Support Program.

Outstanding Individual Achievement

This award recognizes a child support professional who has made a significant contribution to either their local child support agency or to a statewide effort to improve program performance, improvement in customer service, and/or going “Above and Beyond” in supporting the effort to bring exceptional service to the families we serve or the community. Individuals in non-management classification may be recognized.

Outstanding Group Achievement Award

This award recognizes a group, team, or organization of CalCSA member child support professionals that has made a significant contribution to improving the Child Support Program through outstanding collaboration, innovation, and service excellence. Honorees demonstrate creative problem-solving, measurable program improvements, and a strong commitment to going “Above and Beyond” in enhancing performance, customer service, and outcomes for families and the community. Innovative efforts must show demonstrated results, be currently in operation, and have been implemented within the past 12–24 months.

Outstanding Attorney Award

This award recognizes an Attorney from a local child support agency who has made a significant, demonstrable and measurable contribution to their local child support agency and/or the Child Support Program statewide in at least one of the following areas:

  1. Improving Program Performance: By initiating a new or innovative legal process, procedure or project to increase the performance of the LCSA and/or the Statewide Program and therefore its service to customers.
  2. Improving the Court Process: By initiating a new or innovative way to enhance Court processes or assist and guide customers through the legal process.
  3. Improving Customer Service: By initiating a new or innovative way to educate and positively enhance the customer service impact on the customers.

Judicial/Legal Partner of the Year

The Judicial/Legal Partner of the Year award is presented to a professional who is not a member of CalCSA, who has demonstrated creativity and/ or innovation when working in cooperation with the child support program to the benefit of California's families and children, and consistently promotes an attitude and demeanor that makes the legal process accessible to all.

Exceptional Newcomer Award

This award recognizes a child support professional who is new to the field and has demonstrated outstanding commitment, initiative, and early impact in supporting the Child Support Program. This award honors an individual who quickly developed strong job knowledge, embraced the mission of serving families, and gone “Above and Beyond” in delivering quality service, contributing to team success, and positively impacting customers and the community.
